About ACES

What does Awesome Consulting & Educational Services do?
We're an educational-consulting organization that helps schools and districts reduce punitive discipline and rebuild belonging. We partner with teams on relationship-centered discipline, proactive Tier 1 behavior support, restorative practices, appreciative inquiry, experiential learning, and keynotes — always starting from the belief that relationships, not systems alone, change outcomes.
Are you a nonprofit?
Yes. ACES is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our mission is to help schools move from compliance-based discipline to connection-centered cultures where every student belongs.
Who founded ACES, and what's their background?
ACES was founded by Jennifer Awesome, our Founder & Educational Consultant, who brings 25+ years in schools and education — classroom teaching, school leadership, district initiatives, and collaboration with tribal communities. She's a WAESOL presenter, an Association of Teacher Educators (ATE) speaker, and an "Influential Women" honoree, based in Poulsbo, Washington.
What do you believe about discipline and belonging?
Connection over compliance, experiences over information, and belonging as the foundation. Systems don't change outcomes — relationships do. Punitive removals rarely teach the lesson we hope for; relationship-centered, restorative approaches keep students connected while still holding real accountability.

What we offer

What programs and trainings do you offer?
Relationship-Centered Discipline, Positive & Proactive Tier 1 Systems (P2BIS), Appreciative Inquiry & Strength-Based Leadership, Project- and Experience-Based Learning, Fail Forward, Restorative Practices, a School Climate & Culture Audit, the Reigniting Belonging keynote, and custom professional development. We tailor the mix to what your team actually needs.
What formats are available?
Single-day trainings, multi-day series, keynotes, and virtual sessions. We can deliver a one-time keynote, an ongoing coaching partnership across a school year, or anything in between.
Which program is right for us?
It depends on where you're stuck. If office referrals are climbing, start with Relationship-Centered Discipline or proactive Tier 1 systems. If you want an honest picture of your building, begin with a School Climate & Culture Audit. If you need to re-energize staff, a keynote is a powerful start. Reach out and we'll help you choose.
Do you offer keynotes for conferences and events?
Yes. The Reigniting Belonging keynote and related talks are a great fit for staff kickoffs, professional development days, and education conferences.

Who we serve & logistics

Who do you work with?
K–12 schools and districts, tribal schools, alternative programs, and education conferences. We partner with principals, district leaders, counselors, and whole staffs.
Do you travel, or work virtually?
Both. We serve Washington schools on-site and work with schools nationwide virtually. Distance is never a barrier to partnering with us.
Where are you based, and what areas do you serve?
We're based in Poulsbo, Washington. We deliver on-site work throughout Washington and virtual work for schools anywhere in the United States.
How do we book a training or partnership?
Reach out to Jennifer at [email protected] or call (360) 271-7012. We'll talk through your goals and build a plan that fits your school.

Pricing & getting started

What does it cost?
Every school is different, so we scope each engagement to your needs rather than posting fixed prices. Reach out for a custom proposal — whether that's a single keynote or a year-long partnership.
How do we get started?
Start with a short conversation. We'll learn where your school is, what you're hoping to change, and recommend a starting point — a keynote, a training series, or a climate audit. From there we build a custom scope.
As a nonprofit, do you work within school budgets?
Yes. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, our aim is impact, not margin. We work with schools and districts to fit meaningful support within real budgets — just tell us what you're working with.
What can we expect from working with you?
A warm, honest, strength-based partnership. We start by finding what's already working, build on it, and help your team move from managing behavior to building belonging — with practical tools staff can use right away.
